Monthly Chamber Meetings

Every second Thursday of each month, except March, all members are invited to attend a 7:30 am meeting at the Quarryville Library usually lasting until 9:00 am. Our attendance has been around 30-40 persons, and a wide range of business and organizations are represented. Updates are provided by the board and committees and there is time for questions, comments, and networking at the meetings. Each month a different speaker provides insight in diverse subjects of interest. Speaker listing is below.

Every member is encouraged to participate in the monthly meetings and on small committees that are vital to the Chamber. These committees provide the Chamber’s link to the public. Your ideas and involvement are important to the success of our Chamber and your community. Even if you cannot commit to every meeting, you are invited to attend as many as you can. Unlike many other Chamber of Commerce organizations, our Chamber exists because of the volunteers who actively participate on staff and within committees, including the President of the Chamber.

Business Networking Socials

Business Networking Socials (BNS) are events held by Chamber Members for Chamber members and prospective members. These events usually occur in months where there are no other significant activities held by the Chamber (at least on a quarterly basis). These Socials are either referred to as “Mixers” or “Chamber Nights Out”. The mixers are hosted and sponsored by members and provide a unique way to introduce their business or organization. The Chamber Nights Out are evenings spent together at a member’s location over food and drinks (at the attendees’ cost). Because the Southern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce has been growing during the past several years, you’ll have an opportunity to expand your business-to-business network. Local people who need, and also provide, quality services. The Chamber encourages the public AND chamber members to support one another. Your involvement is much more than paying dues or simply being “a member” of the Chamber. Organizations also benefit, by making the Chamber and the public aware of their existence and their unique support for the entire community. The business networking socials are a great way to get involved in the Chamber and include plenty of time to network, socialize, and to enjoy refreshments!!
