Solanco Neighborhood Ministries is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
We are a faith-based, non-profit social service organization located in the heart of Quarryville. We were founded in 2012 by the Solanco Pastors Fellowship to serve and advocate for under-resourced individuals in the southern end of Lancaster County. Solanco Neighborhood Ministries is primarily funded through generous donations from individuals, churches, local businesses, and organizations.
The food bank is our largest service, and we are happy to provide a client choice Pantry, healthy food items, weekend meals for students, and more. We also have a self-serve lobby, where clients can come each week and choose fresh, perishable items.
January is typically slow for food bank donations after the holidays. We are asking our attendees to bring a food donation.
You may be surprised to know that nearly 10% of people in our community, right here in Solanco, are living in poverty. Forty-eight percent of our students are eligible for free and reduced lunch.
Solanco Neighborhood Ministries continues to help feed our community, thanks to the generous food donations we receive. Additionally, we use donated funds to purchase needed foods to fill in the gaps. Please share this list. Current need list is below:
